What to expect when visiting a conservatory showroom

18

Thousands of UK home owners each year take the decision to add a Conservatory as a way of making the most of their home. The choice and variety of what’s available is massive and can be accessed at a variety of levels. But the first step is often a visit to a showroom. What should you expect when you do this and how can you make the most of it?

From the start it’s important to be prepared. Go to the showroom with your homework already done. What size/space is available for the conservatory? Are there are features or challenges to bear in mind? Do you have any idea what look or style you’re after. Go with an open mind but be prepared. One great tip is to come along with some photos on your phone or tablet so that staff at the showroom can get an idea of what is on the table.

When you visit you’ll probably be confronted with a number of pre-built examples of conservatories. Some showrooms go to considerable lengths to present a number of alternatives that you can go in, look around and be in. This can be a little overwhelming for some so do take your time. Although these are pre-built look at the details and try and imagine them in your own home/garden. How do they feel?

As you travel round you can expect to be accompanied by sales staff. Again, this environment can bring on a number of reactions. Take your time, listen to what they’re saying. With the research you’ve already done you should be well informed and able to discuss what options present themselves. It’s worth saying that the cheapest option isn’t always the best.

Then you may sit down for a design appointment. Many showrooms will have a variety of flexibility in what they can offer – from the look of the overall conservatory down to the detail of fittings. Remember the pre-built examples mean you can take another look.

Like most purchasing experiences a little time in the showroom can pay dividends so go slow and be thorough. With this approach it can be a good experience and a good step towards your own conservatory.

It should describe the kind of experience a customer should expect when visiting a conservatory showroom, from looking around pre-built examples of conservatories to speaking with sales staff and design appointments.

Used Fire Trucks Buy From A Broker Or Dealer

6

Used car sales and used fire truck sales are not all that different, although the clientele is much more specific in the world of fire trucks. When comparing actual dealers, there are many honest dealers out there trying to provide quality used fire apparatus. Unfortunately, there are also brokers that can give the wrong impression to customers that see a large inventory and assume the website is from a larger dealer.

In reality, used fire truck dealers and brokers work hand in hand. Dealers buy, maintain, and sell on property used fire engines that they hand select. When smaller dealers need help selling their fleet, they give their inventory to a broker. brokers can help with marketing and connecting customers to the dealer, but the broker never truly “owns” an apparatus. However, a broker does take home a referral commission everytime a customer becomes a buyer of a dealer’s used fire truck.

This article is meant to provide information about fire truck dealers and fire truck brokers, list their fundamental differences, and give readers the information needed to make the best decision for which type of fire truck sales company is best for their needs.

At the heart of the matter, both fire truck dealers and brokers are interested in finding the right used fire apparatus for a potential buyer. Since dealers tend to work with less customers, however, they tend to be more interested in placing the right customer with the used fire truck. Fire truck dealers and brokers typically have the appearance of much different inventories, however. Since brokers normally represent multiple dealers, their inventory has the appearance online of being much larger than fire truck dealers. In some cases, brokers can have as many as 4x the inventory of a singular dealer.

When brokers pass along a customer’s contact information to a dealer, the cost to the customer of buying that truck can be higher. After all, the dealer has to pay a fee to the broker, so they are less likely to be flexible on price with customers. Since dealers own the apparatus they are trying to sell and there is no broker involved in a dealer-to-customer sale, the middleman is cut out and there can be more room for price negotiation.

Dealers also tend to know their product line better than brokers. Since the tranasction of selling a used fire truck to a customer is a direct sale, most dealers do a full inspection of their vehicles, change filters/fluids, check the lining and safety systems, etc. Since brokers are simply working as a go-between, they don’t tend to have the intricate knowledge of the vehicles they represent.

As a way to save money, guarantee you are getting a quality used fire engine, and avoid getting contacted by tons of regional truck dealers trying to sell you product, avoid the extra step of working with a fire truck broker and make your next purchase dealer direct.

Aion Damage Dealers Guide

15

Another huge issue people have in Aion is determining which damage dealer to take down first. When it comes to this, always go for the Sorcerer before anyone else. They are low defense classes(due to cloth) but can deal a lot of damage. This should make them your first damage-dealer target.

The summoners(Spiritmaster) are a threat, but not as bad as the Assassin. Assassins can kill a healer in seconds if given the chance. But the problem with them is they are usually going to be invisible. You are still able to see them they will be a clear shadow, somewhat like a ghost. The Assassins have a decent amount of defense and have a nice attack rating, so be careful when facing one of them alone.

The Ranger is going to be the next target. Rangers have the ability to go invisible AND they have their long ranged attacks. Rangers are most effective when above the battle grounds(flying) so that they are less likely to be seen. More information about this can be found in the “flying” section of this PvP guide.

Spiritmasters are the fourth target, solely because they have less defense than the Gladiators. When attacking Spiritmasters, however, you need to go for the character themselves, instead of their minions. They have many heals and buffs for their minions, but for themselves they are helpless. Going after the minions will allow the Spiritmaster to have a much better chance of winning the battle.

Gladiators are the last form of damage dealers you will be encountering. These will be the last target of yours because they have very high defense. They also do a decent amount of damage, but their defense makes them almost like a tank. Remember, your goal in PvP is not to attack everyone at once, it is to plan ahead and know your targets in advance.

The Importance of Showroom Interior Design

12

Building developers understand the importance of a well-decorated showroom; indeed, showroom interior design is the most important facet when it comes to securing sales for new housing developments. Consequently, interior design must be fundamental to the priorities of all property developers who want to be successful within the housing market.

However, property development is a time-consuming, complicated process; property developers frequently find it difficult to set aside time to perfect the interior design of their showrooms. More often than not, the interior design requirements of a showroom property must be subcontracted to specialist companies.

Successful showrooms take time to develop and need the professional expertise of an organisation that understands the difficulty of the task. Interior design is an artistic process the goal of which is to capture attention and imbue potential buyers with the imagination to conceive of a lifestyle choice that pertains to the development being viewed – this is the aim of the showroom, to make potential buyers feel that they belong to the concept elicited by the home. Showroom interior design has a proven track record in maximising sales appeal, and thus can -make-or-break’ a developer’s dreams.

Comprehensive interior design processes will include consultations between developers and designers in order to capture the essence of the lifestyle that is being designed. Budgets vary, but at very little cost, interior design can return huge revenues. Enhancing the saleability of the property beyond, even, the imagination of the developer – a well-presented showroom can maximise sale potential well beyond projected figures. Presentation really is the key to selling property, regardless of whether this is a single property or a whole complex.

A comprehensive showroom design will consist of delivery of all furnishings, as well as their arrangement in a way that is aesthetically pleasing. Finishing touches and embellishments must be thoroughly thought out and planned – using a professional interior designer, who understands the market and has a proven record, is essential for any developer wishing to flourish within the property market. Designers must be current and understand the intricacies of current interior trends in order to ensure that they undertake a project where the results will speak for themselves.

Emblem Furniture is one such designer, offering comprehensive showroom interior design packages intended to increase sales potential. Not only are all furnishings provided, the showrooms are fully designed and assembled using concept designs. Working closely with developers to ensure that their visions come to light in the most stylish and fashionable creations imaginable, Emblem Furniture can create scenes that once seen, are never forgotten, all showrooms are designed according to market requirements and in reference to consultation with developers. Creating designs that reflect both current trends, and the wishes of the developer.

Fitness Equipment, a Boardman Hybrid Bike and the Cycle Showroom

1

I took the Boardman Hybrid Comp out of the cycle showroom and instantly realised what the fuss is about, a fitness equipment machine on two wheels. The Boardman Hybrid gives as much or as little as you give. If you want to use it as a piece of fitness equipment you will get a very good workout (approx 700 calories per hour). If you want to take it easy and keep the cycle showroom etiquette then this is within reach also. For the first couple of miles I was getting the feel of the Boardman Hybrid. The balance and setup seemed fantastic. The gears seemed smooth, fluent with effortless ease. It felt like it needed to be pushed a bit or take it back to the cycle showroom and get a traditional piece of fitness equipment!

A few miles from The Cycle Showroom I approached a steady incline, now it was time to test the Boardman Hybrid gears, fitness equipment with ease as I smoothly glided to the top. Maybe it was time to get into the 2nd cog as I started picking up pace to decline down the other side of the hill. The Boardman Hybrid picked up speed rapidly as I tapped through the gears in the 2nd cog. As I got to the bottom of the hill pushing quite hard I could see a couple more gears in reserve. This bike has a lot more to give for my fitness equipment routine. Before purchasing the Boardman Hybrid from the cycle showroom I was using a mountain bike with full suspension {this is a fitness equipment machine!) to deal with the city streets, and occasionally a road bike. I did have concerns about a hybrid and the comfort, speed and strength it would offer but I had no need to worry with the Boardman Hybrid.

The Boardman Hybrid seems to offer it all for the leisure, commuting, weekend road user who likes to use the bike as a part Fitness Equipment machine. I seriously considered various other bike options including another road bike, hybrid, and even a newer style mountain bike to deal with the city streets. I love quality bikes but I am far from a professional standard, yet! I cycle twice weekly for about 20 miles and occasionally at the weekend for a fitness equipment workout! I also have not had the chance to test out the other top hybrid bikes apart from the Boardman Hybrid {watch this space) so it is difficult to compare to the others. All I can say is that the Boardman Hybrid does all I require with great balance and smoothness, has the cycle showroom looks and is a great piece of fitness equipment, excellent value (specs) for the money. On Antiquities Dealer Mr. Samuel Merrin, And Some History

16

Samuel Merrin – a celebrated person in the (ancient) art world – is a renowned authority in South American art and antiquities from many other civilizations – like ancient Rome & Greece. That’s why Mr. Merrin is frequently asked to give assessments in valuing key ancient art exhibitions for various institutions. He also has the knowledge & expertise to assess artworks for dealers, auction houses and main museums.

Independently, Samuel Merrin is the president of The Merrin Gallery Inc. and deals in museum-quality art from the ancient lands of South America, Mesoamerica, Rome, Greece and Near East. The gallery is acclaimed by international and national museums as the leading gallery for South American artworks, and is reportedly, one of the few in the world that even deals in antiquities.

History of the Gallery

Now for some history of the venture. The Merrin Gallery was established in the ’90s. Actually, it has a ‘somewhat’ deeper history than that – going back all the way to the ’60s. Where it started with the father of Sam Merrin, Edward, who was himself a renowned expert on ancient art. He established the business to capture a large part of the market, and was very successful.

While the ancient art gallery came under Samuel’s direction in the 1990s – he’s been involved with art for his entire life. As a kid, he frequented his father’s gallery and after graduating with a bachelor’s degree, Samuel Merrin worked at the medievally-renowned Cloisters Museum, and interned at ‘big names’ like the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This, has, undoubtedly left an impression on the arts dealer – a very positive one.

The Merrin Pair – Market Leaders

Over the past five decades, the Merrin pair – father and son – have purchased, as well as facilitated antiquities collections for major institutions and private collectors. In the last several years, Samuel Merrin has purchased older art collections from key groups; where working with former owners – who wanted the arrangements to be maintained as confidential to protect their interests – Samuel ‘placed’ the valued antiquities quietly.

A market advantage of the Merrin Gallery, this has made Sam a distinguished dealer in the ancient art world – on occasion even rivaling big-name auction houses like Christie’s and Sotherbie’s. Where for instance, to obtain whole collections and separate artworks Samuel Merrin has sometimes outbid both auction houses. Thus, Samuel has been enjoying the position to purchase whole antiquities collections, and as a trustworthy middle-man, abide by the confidentiality needs of clients.

Innova Kitchens and Baths opens integrated Green Showroom Design

11

When Innova Kitchens and Baths decided that it was time to move their showroom into the upscale Dunbar / Kerrisdale area of Vancouver, the challenge was to create a showroom which would demonstrate more functionality, incorporate green finishes, include an entire office, and do so in a smaller, more efficient, and greener space.

With only about 500 square feet of functional space that could be dedicated to the showroom / design centre, this might have appeared as an impossibility to many. However, with design skills earned by years in the industry, owner’s Paul Coker and Lee Stergios set about doing just that. As they do for clients project, Paul and Lee first started with a litany of requirements for both a state-of-the-art showroom as well as an efficient design office. Then began the arduous task of creating and critiquing numerous designs looking at everything from form and functionality, to design aesthetic and finishes.

For example, Innova’s flagship display in a stunning African Mahogany demonstrates kitchen cabinetry functionality such as pantry metal pull-out systems, a metal tambour appliance garage, custom Wine X, top lit cabinet boxes with energy efficient LED pucklighting, bi-fold and pockets doors, not to mention a magic corner, recycle pull-out, garbage and cleaner storage, as well as soft-close door and drawers. The real magic of this display comes to life when one realizes that this kitchen display integrates Innova’s new computer server and networking hardware, new greener laser printer/copier/fax machine with double sided printing, as well as their full colour CAD printer.

The showroom design centre also displays an armoire that doubles as Innova’s catalog library, a modern second kitchen display in an environmentally green contemporary Maple Stria that demonstrates three types of cabinet door lifts and multiple drawer styles and solutions, a display island that houses two desk stations and an integrated presentation space, an antique style hutch display that holds wood finish samples, and a display that houses door samples as well as serving as a station for fabrics.

Once the functional requirements for the new showroom / office were met, Paul and Lee faced the difficult job of selecting materials and finishes that would not only demonstrate a wide variety of possible finishes but would also coordinate with one another. The result is a sophisticated mix of finishes such as African Mahogany, American Cherry in a custom finish, Walnut, Heirloom Cherry in a Black aged finish, environmentally green finishes such as engineered Maple Strias and bamboo, as well as countertop materials in engineered stones, granite, marble, butcher block and glass.

The result? A space which uses a fraction of the footprint and energy of their original offices, that feels large and spacious while crammed full of design surprises, and a space that demonstrates the power of superior interior design and renovation. Looking to book your design/renovation appointment? Paul and Lee can be reached at 604-676-1603, at their new design centre located at 5739 Collingwood Street in Vancouver, www.innovakitchens.com.
